Shawn William is a Grammy Nominated spoken word artist, published author, storyteller & father hailing from Oakland, California. For over 20 years of dedication & hard work his writing & performance skills have allowed him to performed at the Apollo Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, The Essence Festival, feature on The Arsenio Hall Show and Verses and Flow, while also being one of 5 artist selected to have a residency at The Kennedy Center.

This book made me want to pleasure myself, curse my ex out & believe in love again. This book had me all in my head wondering if the men I dated thought like Shawn, and if they did I wished they would’ve told me so I could either run away from them or run towards them. 

I’m not an erotic poetry fan, but I am a fan of Shawn William. So, I decided to purchase Tall, Dark & Healing and I must say that it was a very good read. Like his live performances, Shawn knows how to say things many of us men wish we could. His humor through heartache, his vulnerability while in love and his honesty within his healing process showed me how to better handle tough times. Just know brotha, they’ll NEVER give you that hoodie back! Take it from me.
